Winter In SummerPosted by Amir (Tehran, Iran) on 30 August 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Fort Worth, TX Another one from Infrared series. Again, this is not snowy scene, It's IR photography taken during one hot and humid Texas summer day. Lost Valley from Kamloops, BC, CanadaInfared photography is very interesting! I am out looking for new filters this weekend!!! I like the detail of this photo too!!! 30 Aug 2007 5:25am @Lost Valley: You should. It opens up a whole new way of photography for you. @Inés: Thanks for visiting. @Saed: Thanks Saed DaveB from Exeter, United KingdomAbsoulutely wonderful, lovely tint on the trees 30 Aug 2007 10:35am @DaveB: You are kind. Thanks. Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesIs there such a thing as a Texas summer day that isn't hot and humid? In the Fort Davis area, I guess it's not humid, but down here in South Texas every day is like a trip to the sauna. 30 Aug 2007 1:29pm @Twelvebit: Thanks for your input. ever since I moved down here from southern California, every day has been like hell. You put it in good terms, just like a sauna. I just can't stand it, my bodies moisture does not evaporate and that gives me a feeling of suffocation. Thanks for visiting. Brian from United StatesAnother lovely image, Amir. I really hope this series continues for a while longer. IR allows a very different perspective on the world. 30 Aug 2007 2:20pm @Brian: Thanks Brian. I hope so as well. But it all depends if I find good subject for it. It requires few elements, that one could not do without. Blue, semi-cloudy sky, preferably bright day, lots of Chlorophyll (foliage of some sort) and preferably body of water. I have seen great IR done in cemetery, which gives it a very holy and unearthly look to the picture. I am off for a quest to find a cemetery, just kidding. Thanks Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomAbsolutely amazing effect you've achieved here, Amir! 30 Aug 2007 2:55pm @Rebecca: Thanks a million Rebecca. @jelb: Thanks jelb. @jjcn: Thanks a lot. Bhavin from Mississauga, CanadaI REALLY like this photo. It just shows you even the smallest and non SLR cameras can sometimes deliver great results along with proper photo processing. 30 Aug 2007 11:33pm @Bhavin: Thanks. You are right, it's not the camera, is the person behind it. I don't want to sound selfish, and obviously my pictures are far from perfect, but I have seen master piece created using sub $100 camera. miu* from GA, United StatesHello,Amir! 31 Aug 2007 1:24am @miu*: Oh, you are too kind to me. I really don't think my pictures are that great. These are not cherry threes, they are some sort of acorn type thing. Pedram from Esfahan, IranNice Too.....like a dream ! 1 Sep 2007 3:13pm @Pedram: سلام پدرام جان، پست قبلی را بخوان توضیح دادم |
