Lost Valley View from Kamloops, British Columbia (west coast), CanadaI like the roughness of this photo!!! I wanna run through the tall grasses!!! This is cool in IR!!! 5 Sep 2007 5:22am @Lost Valley View: Thanks you, but with Texas heat and humidity I highly doubt you would wanna run, just kidding. Quintino from Joane, PortugalWhat I like most is the sensation of freedom you get watching the photo. 5 Sep 2007 9:15am @Quintino: Thanks for visiting. Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomI love these wide open rural spaces!! Looks like I could run through that for miles!! Lovely composition, Amir. Especially with the IR, IMO it gives it this sense of timelessness! 5 Sep 2007 11:31am @Rebecca: Yes, Texas is kind of under-developed state so one sees a lot of this everywhere. @Masume: Thanks Masume jan, hope you have a nice day. @Brian: Thanks Brian. Mandy from Johannesburg, South AfricaWow, what an interesting effect - the colours are cool Amir. I like it! 5 Sep 2007 2:54pm @Mandy: Thanks Mandy lissa from New York, United StatesIt's starting to look natural, like this is how nature looks. The colors doesn't seem as odd as before. Nice job. 5 Sep 2007 6:18pm @lissa: Well it's odd method anyways. thanks for visiting. @Maysam: Thanks Maysam jan. Ali Reza from Tehran, IranHi, 5 Sep 2007 11:14pm @Ali Reza: Always had, thanks for dropping by. miu* from GA, United StatesThe color of sky seems to be pale blue, and the trees look pale pink.. 5 Sep 2007 11:43pm @miu*: The sky was cloudy but pale pink of trees, are just about right. Thanks for stopping by. Portrait| Los Angeles Skid Row from United StatesThere is a quiet, still peace that I see. 6 Sep 2007 12:50am @Portrait| Los Angeles Skid Row: Thanks for visiting my man. Aidan Hammond from Seoul, South KoreaGreat colours and tones - I'm really attracted to the textures in the trees and how they contrast with those of the field. 6 Sep 2007 3:39am @Aidan Hammond: Thanks a bunch my friend. @Inés: Thanks for your visit. Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesIf you want to get a really good idea of how much of the state is undeveloped, you should see a map that represents the density of electric load. Whole counties are empty in some regions like West Texas and the Panhandle. I've read that since most digital cameras have built-in IR blocking filters, when you use an IR filter you have to greater increase your exposure times. Do you find that to be the case? 7 Sep 2007 1:20am @Twelvebit: Thanks for information on Texas. About IR, of course depending on your camera the IR blocking filter varies in strength. The rule of thumb is that older camera have weaker blocker, therefore more suitable for IR. My Canon A640 has pretty descent IR sensitivity but not that sensitive to render tripod useless, if you know what I mean. You still need tripod to manage good and fairly crisp shot with IR filter in front. Needless to say that with increase in ISO one would probably be able to take hand-held shots, but at that point noise becomes an issue. Hope to have answered your question properly. Thanks for coming. @fred: Thanks Hamid from Tehran, IranI feel hot when I look at this. I gives me a sense of heat i don't know why, might be because of that line of brightness in the middle. Nice job. 7 Sep 2007 11:01pm @Hamid: Thanks for your kind input Hamid jan. |
