Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomWhoa, this is really emotive, my friend! There’s quite a story behind that wall. Once again, superb one, Amir. 12 Sep 2007 6:39pm @Rebecca: Thanks Rebecca. Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesAnd that's a great album. One of the greatest rock albums of all time. The Wall video is pretty good too, btw. There's another association in this image that I can't quite place. Oh yeah, and my apologies for asking if you were originally from "Lebanon." Your blog is titled "The Persian King." Duh. Believe it or not, I just now picked up on that. 12 Sep 2007 6:57pm @Twelvebit: I am Persian and Persia is another name for Iran. The other countries in the Middle East, beside Israel, Turkey and Iran are all Arabic nations and that includes country of Lebanon. Thanks for your comments and no harsh feelings. Quintino from Joane, PortugalIt could be called the peeling wall, no? All that paint trying to escape... 12 Sep 2007 7:29pm @Quintino: That was the funny question! I really don't think I am even allowed to compare myself with those great men that formed a nation, plus that was never my intention. But if I have to, I will chose neither but Cyrus the Great, the founder and unifier of Persian empire (ruled 590-576 BC). Rebel Szczesny from Big Apple - NYC, United StatesFind 'em. Snap 'em. And post 'em. A good one Amir. 12 Sep 2007 9:19pm @Rebel Szczesny: Thanks. Bahar from Toronto, Canadanice capture! I like the way the paintings are coming off showing the bare wall. 12 Sep 2007 9:25pm @Bahar: Yea that in fact inspired my to take this photo. Navid from Ahwaz, Iranstunning! 12 Sep 2007 10:32pm @Navid: خوب شد پس من گفتم. ممنونم که اومدی Navid from Ahwaz, IranMr amir mibinam shoma online hastin ,goftam 1 soal alalhesab beporsam! 12 Sep 2007 10:38pm @Navid: نه فکر نمیکنم چنین چیزی اینجا هنوز باشه @Navid: U R welcome. Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomWow, thats a great image, full of texture and intensly bright colour. A superb find, and I agree you do think 'Pink Floyd' with this image 12 Sep 2007 10:54pm @Richard_Irwin: Glad you made the connection. Thanks for dropping by. Takiyah from Snellville, United StatesWhoa! That's a neat shot. I love the crisp colors:) 13 Sep 2007 3:36am @Takiyah: Thanks. Mandy from Johannesburg, South AfricaVery interesting Amir, I like the way the blue pulls your eye!! 13 Sep 2007 7:59am @Mandy: Thanks Mandy. @Soodabeh: Thanks Soodabeh. @alla: Thank you. Lost Valley Views from CanadaVery cool Amir!!! What deep rich textures and perfectly centered to grab the full attention to what the wall is saying. 13 Sep 2007 2:16pm @Lost Valley Views: I sharpened it a little. @Brian: Thanks Brian. @ChaCha: Thanks. Stan Pulsar from Strasbourg, FranceI love the colors here. 13 Sep 2007 7:37pm @Stan Pulsar: Thanks for your view. @lissa: Thanks. miu* from GA, United StatesThese apples have wings?! I felt a little bit sad. 14 Sep 2007 12:54am @miu*: Yea, they are apples with wings, good observation. Thanks for coming. Olaide from Fort Collins, United Stateslike a unique art work. This is splendid. Good eye pal. 14 Sep 2007 5:36am @Olaide: Thanks for your visit. @Silvia: Thanks. @Pedram: Thanks. Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesI understand the connection between Persia and Iran. I work with a guy from Iran --a PhD engineer-- as a matter of fact. I actually had not noticed the title of your blog before my comment on this photo. I glanced at the symbol on your bio page and ignorantly took it as Lebanese. I watch a lot of foreign movies, and the best movies coming out of the Middle East, like "Crimson Gold," are coming out of Iran. I only hope that the current gang of criminals running my country doesn't bring our country into further disrepute by some new criminal act in Iran. 15 Sep 2007 6:38pm @Twelvebit: Thanks a lot for your very kind and heart warming comment on my blog. It's not only US that is run by criminals, we can say the same for Iran as well. Unfortunately this world is a very bad place with bad people holding all of us as hostages. If people like me and you were in charge things of that sort would never happen. But to run as a politician you need to have zero respect toward people's lives and well being and be on constant path toward deception and lies. aggie from Singapore, SingaporeIt's it uncanny how the surface of a wall, morphs into art? 16 Sep 2007 6:39am @aggie: Yea, I guess it was an artwork once upon a time. |
