Colors Of SummerPosted by Amir (Tehran, Iran) on 18 September 2007 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Fort Worth, TX It's amazing how in temperature well over 40 Centigrade (>100 F) these flowers and grass can flourish. Mandy from South AfricaThey really do make a statement - what a beautiful scene Amir! 19 Sep 2007 7:09am @Mandy: Thanks Mandy. @Shahab: Thank you @Quintino: I appreciate your input. Makoto from Sapporo, JapanLovely shot Amir. Plants are really strong. They are under the snow in winter, and bloom next spring, in Hokkaido :-) 19 Sep 2007 1:09pm @Makoto: Great info Makoto. Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesThey must get plenty of water. Down further south in Texas, for example, in the Austin and San Antonio areas, hot dry summers sometimes produce watering bans. Then you get brown grass and wilted flowers. This summer, at least in this part of the state, there has been an unusually high amount of rainfall. 19 Sep 2007 4:19pm @Twelvebit: We had a lot of rainfall as well. This is my first year in Texas and I heard from many that it was an unusual summer. Thanks for your info. @Brian: Thanks a lot Brian. Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomWhoa, these are such vivid reds, complementing so well the lush greens and earthy stones! And I'm amazed at the resilience of these flowers! Another truly excellent composition, Amir. :) 19 Sep 2007 8:50pm @Rebecca: Thanks Rebeca. @alla: Thanks.
