Native American Artwork

Behind a shop's display glass, a native American artwork awaits a rich customer to buy it and take it home. While across the street a giant skyscraper is under construction (see the reflection).

I really like the industrial reflections in the window, over the beautiful traditional art work :)

Superb artistry, and absolutely masterly composition, my dear friend. I love how you’ve caught the reflection of the construction work in the glass. Beautifully unique presentation of this piece. Awesome juxtaposition of ancient culture and modern ‘development’. Truly outstanding.

@Rebecca: Thank you very much dear Rebecca

Rags from Plano, United States

allow me to give you my interpretation of this image; i see the mask as a reminder of the way the indian culture was destroyed so as to make way for modernity. I love the image!

@Rags: That's very true as well, modernity vs. tradition

amy from Rocky Mountain House, Canada

Interesting image, Amir!! The reflections do so give that contradiction of the modern and the ancient. Also love that beaver (I think) mask... I have a lot Haida art on my walls; it's my favourite native art form.

@amy: I think you are right about it. They are really nice
