Stanting StrongPosted by Amir (Tehran, Iran) on 10 November 2007 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Los Angeles, CA What do you think about this tree, this tree is at least 100 years old, while the city around it was under construction. If these trees could talk, they could tell stories never heard by anyone. See the original at Flickr If you find my photos interesting, please take a moment and vote for me at Photoblog Awards. FC from NewYork, United StatesWhat do I think, it's an awfully narrow trunk for a tree so old. I guess it's the species of the tree, not the trunk. (Educational post for me) 10 Nov 2007 5:17am FC from NewYork, United StatesEdit the above. Tree's no lop-sided...the ground is sloped. Guess I need to get some sleep...>? 10 Nov 2007 5:18am Mingo from Sant Boi de Llobregat, SpainExelente captura, una imagen llena de colorido y una buena composición. Saludos! 10 Nov 2007 2:17pm Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomOld trees such as the one in your shot are amazing things. I have an apple tree in my garden that is over 100 years old, and the little St John's chapel up the road from my house, which was built in the 13th century, has Yew trees growing there which were already growing when it was built. In my mind, all ancient trees are sacred. 10 Nov 2007 3:47pm e. from Washington DC, United StatesBeautiful photo! It looks very sturdy and strong. 11 Nov 2007 2:05am Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesWhat amazes me is that around here, whenever there is a new residential development, the developer chops down every single tree --almost as if they're deliberately trying to make the new neighborhood as ugly and unnatural as possible. But, of course, it's really just because it's easier than building around them. No one seems to care though. 11 Nov 2007 4:47pm amy from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaIf trees could talk Amir... I'd be listening very raptly. Nicely done. 11 Nov 2007 6:14pm miu* from GA, United StatesShe is so grounded..... 11 Nov 2007 11:12pm Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomRobust and resilient tree, which has stood the test of time, and seen so much more than we human beings have. We have so much to learn from these amazing images of true beauty and strength, dear friend. Thank you so much once again, for daring and caring to share. So many of us are blessed through your work, dear Amir. You are indeed a gem in a billion. 12 Nov 2007 12:18am |
