Stanting Strong

What do you think about this tree, this tree is at least 100 years old, while the city around it was under construction. If these trees could talk, they could tell stories never heard by anyone.

What do I think, it's an awfully narrow trunk for a tree so old. I guess it's the species of the tree, not the trunk. (Educational post for me)
I like what you did with this capture, the off sided/lop-sided look of the tree give this image an interesting look.

Edit the above. Tree's no lop-sided...the ground is sloped. Guess I need to get some sleep...>?

Old trees such as the one in your shot are amazing things. I have an apple tree in my garden that is over 100 years old, and the little St John's chapel up the road from my house, which was built in the 13th century, has Yew trees growing there which were already growing when it was built. In my mind, all ancient trees are sacred.

What amazes me is that around here, whenever there is a new residential development, the developer chops down every single tree --almost as if they're deliberately trying to make the new neighborhood as ugly and unnatural as possible. But, of course, it's really just because it's easier than building around them. No one seems to care though.

If trees could talk Amir... I'd be listening very raptly. Nicely done.

Robust and resilient tree, which has stood the test of time, and seen so much more than we human beings have. We have so much to learn from these amazing images of true beauty and strength, dear friend. Thank you so much once again, for daring and caring to share. So many of us are blessed through your work, dear Amir. You are indeed a gem in a billion.
