God Is WatchingPosted by Amir (Tehran, Iran) on 20 December 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Salt Lake City, UT I don't know why, but there is a common folk belief that rays of light passing through clouds is sign of a higher being watching upon his creations. I hope he is watching carefully, seeing the pain and suffering which has plagued this little planet of his for many thousands of years. Mandy from Johannesburg, South AfricaIt's a beauiful shot Amir!!! I love everythign about it!! The muted tones are awesome!!! :) 20 Dec 2007 9:16am Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesYou know, it's interesting, because I have seen several instances of the sun puncturing clouds like this in the last month or so. I won't say anything else though, because given the world we live it, it would have to be irreverent. 20 Dec 2007 10:28pm lissa from New York, United StatesPerfectly captured. I like the absence of colors, works really well here. 20 Dec 2007 11:42pm Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomThere is something fundamentally spectacular with sunbursts through clouds. A gorgeous shot Amir, a wonderful, peaceful landscape, the open space says to me 'room to breathe'. 20 Dec 2007 11:44pm Rebecca from Leicester, United KingdomPhenomenal image, dear friend. I love this so much. Aside from accidents and natural disasters, in which even then there is so much mankind can do to help alleviate the suffering of our fellow man when such crises strike, I feel so much of pain and suffering in our world, particularly the most horrific, is caused by our corrupt human natures. Mankind has caused untold grief, pain and suffering through the millennia, to his/her fellow man (and woman), in so many, too many forms of quarrels, jealousy, strife, hunger for power, cruelty, greed…. God is watching indeed, and He cares, so much, much more than we realise. Personally, I believe that is why Jesus came and lived among us ‘ordinary’ people, suffered and died for us, and on the third day was raised up. To make a way so that human nature can be changed, made new. We all need that renewing so much, everyday. This is what I truly feel. 21 Dec 2007 4:11am miu* from GA, United StatesI love your words so much! 21 Dec 2007 5:32pm |
