This is an artificial riverbed which is totally dried up in this season. This unlike my previous HDR images (5 exposures), is composed of 7 stacked shots, 2/3 exposure apart.

great capture. i don't think we really realize how bad the water situation is getting here. there's already wars over it in other parts of the world. where is the water for this place supposed to come from?

@danthro: I know what ya sayin', it's unfortunate. The water comes from upstream inside some body's ranch.

Really nice.. so that's how you manage to make some ugly places look so good. I know these artificial drainages and they aren't generally pretty.
