Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesYou may be a little too optimistic. After all, Obama has actually kept on a Bush crony or two. And he had nothing negative to say about Israel's wanton slaughter of Palestinians in the open air prison the Israeli jail-keepers call Gaza. 20 Jan 2009 10:15pm @Twelvebit: I am well aware of that. This country or any country for that matter is ruled a group of secrete organizations. The president is only a nice face for this ugly body. 99.99% of people are deceived and they truly believe in these fake democracies. The reality is so harsh that I for one, sometimes love to live in this imaginary world that people are exactly who they say they are and obamas are as honest and peace-loving as they seem to be. Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesAgain, it looks like we agree. Movies are my primary escape, and my work --to the extent that it remains technical and allows me to ignore the vicious realities created by human beings. How does that saying go --the more I know of people the more I love my dog? All people who aren't mentally deranged must seek some escape from reality because no sane person could face the full truth of this world and continue to live in it. We'd either go crazy or self-destruct. I ignore as much of it as I can and it's still a struggle. 23 Jan 2009 5:57pm |
