Persian new year, AKA Norouz is based on one the world's oldest solar calendar system, predating western Gregorian by thousands of years. It's one the most precise system of calculations, making it in sync with natural rhythm of Earth (Northern Hemisphere).

Happy spring Equinox, Happy Norouz.
